The Morrison bridge is down tonight
Looks like we're getting our toes wet
To cross through to your side of town
From what I can take of the Willamette
Superfund
Clean up the waters below
Portland
From nuclear waste and radiation
How could I learn to swim
When heavy metals weigh me down
You'll keep me light as the wind
The zephyrs stop me from drowning
Superfund
Hope you've warmned up the dryer
Core temp
Raised it up by the fire
Ah ah ah
I never try to go too far
Onto of the west side of town
It's not that I don't have a car
it's just that it's too much like my hometown
Super fun
Transit stops and reservations
Super fun
Just like
Ahh-ah-ah
I guess it's okay if I get
one last summer with you
Wash the radiation off my skin
On the banks of the river with you
Superfund
Clean up the waters below
Portland
From nuclear waste and radiation
Ayye ayye ayye

157 days until I
Can see the sun again
I’m dreaming of crossing state lines
To feel some warmth on my skin
I’ve tried all I can think of
Lost your flash drive in the mail
I polled the internet agora
Is there a drier version of Hell
Damn the rain
Growing sprouts and onions in my drains
Would it be faster if I
Reverse the flow of time
To travel backwards to when I
was a drier time
As an outlier in your data
Messing with your trends
There's pollen on a warm breeze
I hear there's rust in your lungs
Drying clothes at checkpoint firewalls
Send your JPEGs across
I checked the satellite connection
Swallowed the transmitter pill
Your sarcastic posts on the forums answered:
It’s dry in the Elysian fields
Would I see you sooner
Progress the flow of time
To travel up to when we
Could see a summer night
Oceania has fallen
From the skies
Surround ourselves with water
Hope to swim through July
Oceania has fallen
Down from the skies
Waters freezing, let's jump in
Why wait till july

Who is he that has been brought forth
Into this treacherous world
Bitter deliverance for
The ragged Common Folk
All will sacrifice life and limb
For the gift
Of Lemonhope
Imprisoned child, finally freed
This yellow Ulysses
Do the faces of your people haunt your dreams?
Wayward hero on your Lemon-feet
We will rally at the castle
For your Lemon-glory
Lemonhope, oh Lemonhope,
Take your rightful citrus throne
Lemongrab would try to slay our messiah
To defeat the vicious Lemon-duke
How can this bittersweet child
Save the hearts of his people with his flute?
What gentle sounds from your heart
Could shatter this fragile monarch?
Gloried knight, rest assured
Your martyrdom awaits
Who can hear the call of need
When your people must be freed
Do the faces of your people haunt your dreams?
Wayward hero on your Lemon-feet
We will rally at the castle
For your Lemon-glory
Lemonhope, oh Lemonhope,
Take your rightful citrus throne
Reject the mantle of hero
Harp in hand your learn to sing
Break free from these castle walls
Do you run from destiny when it calls?
Do the faces of your people haunt your dreams?
Wayward hero on your Lemon-feet
We will rally at the castle
For your Lemon-glory
Lemonhope, oh Lemonhope,
Take your rightful citrus throne
Part 3:
I've kept myself away here
Faraway Corners of the mind
In my ivory tower
I've grown a grey beard in my time
The dead land gives it secrets
To the leavers of the light
I seek greater powers, and the mastery of my mind
(Is it) Exile
Truth seeker
Is heartbreak your pursuit
If you cut off
Your connections
What's left of you?
What does it matter if we all get what we wanted ?
(What does it matter) if it don't end my suffering?
And we trade it all away just to sleep sweetly
Without any memory of you
I wander through the dead malls
The drought fields
And the mire
I hide myself among them
And sing my grave songs
In the night
For I have found a quiet here
No more signals from the skies
All this time to think here
And none to share my time
Is it exile
Truth seeker
Is heartbreak your pursuit
If you cut off
Your connections
Then what's left of you?
What does it matter if we all get what we wanted
(What does it matter) if it don't end my suffering?
And we trade it all away just to sleep sweetly
Without any memory of you
So I'll send my letters to you
Written in the finest scrawl
This new world is amazing, it's true
But I wouldn't trade it at all
Is it exile
Wanderer
Your truth is your pursuit
Promise
You'll come back
With what's left of you
What does it matter if we all get all we wanted
What does it matter if it don't end my suffering
And we trade it all away just to sleep sweetly
Without any memory of you
We trade it all way just to sleep sweetly

Meet me at the bus station
After dark on Malencon
The fuel cells burn in the street protests
See you dance in the fire free zone
Hand me letters in your Cyrillic slant
To say you'll only love me when the war ends
We'll hit the ansible on the electric grid
No interference for the next five districts
They city's our if we want it
Give our love to the rest of your country
Made my bed in burnt out shells
Pull me out into the street dances
I fell hard and bid farewell
We're free to love; we're the lucky ones
Bid goodbye to the flateline American skylines
For the torsades wound in your skies
Burn the flags off the roof of your apartment
Leave behind all the Western Death Cults
We're free to love under peaceful skies
Over Western Eschatology
Over Western Eschatology
Over Western Eschatology
Over Western Eschatology
Over Western Eschatology

Check the wires on the simulation
To see if you’re online, or out tonight
About twice a week i check in on my
Personal torture device
IT’s a miracle i've managed to stay alive
Nothings connected but phone lines
Wish to see you in blue light
I look up and you’re offline
I'm away
Or am I lonely
Whisper your name
The space between phone lines
Wish I could see you on my cell phone
Instead of meeting AVIs
send the message across the tight band
And we can keep it private
Heard your message on the fiber optics
A thousand miles from rural Oregon
"I'm resting well, and living alone
But I'd rather not live here in my basement"
I'm away
Only alone when were online
Meet at my place
After we've cut the phone lines

it profits little for the idle hero
to spend his days just killing time
TV dinners and video games
all my fire's burned away
far from my youthful prime
in my glory days i'd fought
against the best I'd ever known
the Fire Count, that terrible lout
and his friend Evil Ocean
all fell fast before my blade
a giant bear was even slayed
the righteous work was finally done
but if I could trade away all the battles I had raged
I'd be younger, and better still
I worked and made no difference
I did all I could to fix it
and in the end, evil had won
now depravity I'd seen, none so far as the Lich King
full of evil, hate, and scorn
it took all that we could offer, Sienna and I
we had to conquer evil and evil reborn
only a fortnight had went by
before some sap had went and died
brought down low in the mouth of a dragon
and the princess we had saved was unceremoniously awayed
by trolls and goblin men
Every day I sat and saved couldn't make the world more safe
evil returns and I've saved no one
my victories add up little if evil minds can't be killed
and I struggle to no avail
but pacifism isn't quite what I thought it'd be
i've done little to see great evil's end
I've realized stopping suffering means that I must fight
I'll gladly take up the sword again
For old age has yet to take my honor
Not unbecoming of men who strove with gods
I'll die happy knowing that I fought hard
against those who would see good's demise
So come ye friends it is not too late
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield
and looking off, we'll take our final homes
beyond the baths of the western stars,
and the heroes of old

I'm going out at night
The streets in Portland are all empty
Try to catch a bite
But I hear they've closed down Mississippi
Looking at the stars
Looking at corona
The millions out there
We don't know of
Looking at the stars
Looking at corona
Wondering where we go when we're lonely
And they close the districts down
now the lights are out
I've never felt so lost in a city
Try to see the milky way
But all I read is Ground glass opacities
Looking at the stars
Looking at corona
Could it be the end
Of all that we know of
Looking at the stars
Looking at corona
Wondering where we go when we're lonely
And they close the districts down
Yes I'm home alone
There's no place else I'd rather be
Than with you on the phone
Under a two week state quarantine
Heard that you got sick
Lines and tubes to keep you breathing
Sine waves on a screen
Windfalls for pharmaceutical industry
Looking at the curve
Flattened to a plateau
We're fighting hard against
Viral overload
Looking at the stars
So nice to see ya
It's nice to hear you're feeling better
Meet up with me
When it's all over
Breathe in deeply
The warm smell of summer
