all my fire's burned away
far from my youthful prime

in my glory days i'd fought
against the best I'd ever known
the Fire Count, that terrible lout
and his friend Evil Ocean

all fell fast before my blade
a giant bear was even slayed
the righteous work was finally done

but if I could trade away all the battles I had raged
I'd be younger, and better still
I worked and made no difference
I did all I could to fix it
and in the end, evil had won

now depravity I'd seen, none so far as the Lich King
full of evil, hate, and scorn
it took all that we could offer, Sienna and I
we had to conquer evil and evil reborn

only a fortnight had went by
before some sap had went and died
brought down low in the mouth of a dragon
and the princess we had saved was unceremoniously awayed
by trolls and goblin men

Every day I sat and saved couldn't make the world more safe
evil returns and I've saved no one
my victories add up little if evil minds can't be killed
and I struggle to no avail

but pacifism isn't quite what I thought it'd be
i've done little to see great evil's end
I've realized stopping suffering means that I must fight
I'll gladly take up the sword again

For old age has yet to take my honor
Not unbecoming of men who strove with gods
I'll die happy knowing that I fought hard
against those who would see good's demise

So come ye friends it is not too late
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield
and looking off, we'll take our final homes
beyond the baths of the western stars,
